The series of pictures below shows the MistBuster® 500 machine mounted mist collector on a HAAS SL-30 CNC lathe. This industrial air purifier efficiently collects coolant mist and smoke generated by today’s CNC machining centers. The HAAS CNC machine tool in the photo is an actual machine tool in use at the HAAS manufacturing facility where the CNC machines are made. The MistBuster® 500 mist collector in the photo was installed right to the side of the HAAS CNC lathe and ducted to the enclosure with the use of the optional source capture plenum.
Variable speed controllers for precise control over negative pressure over the machine tool enclosure are just some of the features of the MistBuster® series of mist collector systems. With a compact and highly efficient design, all of Air Quality Engineering’s industrial air cleaners feature a wide variety of installation options for maximum flexibility. Motorized impellers are the cutting edge in efficient, reliable, minimal noise, vibration free, operation.
The largest machine tool builder in the United States, Haas Automation manufactures a full line of CNC vertical machining centers and horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes, rotary tables and 5C indexers. Haas machine tools and rotary products are built to deliver higher accuracy, repeatability and durability than any other machine tools on the market.
The HAAS vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers and CNC turning centers are built with massive cast iron construction. Cast iron costs more to buy and machine, but it provides up to 10 times the damping capacity of steel. That’s why Haas uses only cast iron for all major components. Our castings are internally reinforced to resist flex and damp vibration, and every one is thoroughly inspected prior to machining to ensure it is free of flaws.
